Executive Coaching

The Steele Partners Executive Coaching Program by Mark Goulston.

Statement of Purpose: Executives, leaders, senior management and top producers achieve results like UCLA’s John Wooden by developing the mindset, skill set, strategy and tactics of champions, but who most of all are guided by core values that are admired and respected by everyone they come in contact with.

Although frequently initiated for a remedial reason, we work only with individuals in companies that view executive coaching as the opportunity for executives to be the best they can be. We do this by providing customized prescriptive approaches that engender trust, confidence and deep respect from an executive’s people, executives, board of directors, clients, customers, vendors and shareholders.

  1. Six month program with option to renew

  2. Up front assessment in person:

    1. Your desired outcome(s) and ROI from executive coaching.

    2. Your candid self-assessment (people who aren’t committed to improving need not apply) including your SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) of you.

    3. Confidential meeting or telephone conversation (in person meeting preferred) with 8 – 10 individuals above, below and at a peer level and who interact with and see you in action including their SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) of you.

    4. Based on your desired outcome, your and your stakeholders’ candid SWOT analysis of you, select two to three at most changes in mindset and skill sets to be mastered and internalized so as to be automatic parts of your improved personality and communicated to the 8 – 10 individuals I have spoken to who will be your stakeholders.

  3. Telephone sessions every two weeks and calls in between as well as on site meetings with or without educational programs (such as the Persuade Without Pushing I developed with Dr. John Ullmen from the UCLA Anderson School of Management) to your direct reports as needed.

  4. At three months, conversations with the above 8 – 10 individuals on their observations and recommendations for further improvement.

  5. At six months, a consolidation of progress and improvements with recommendations for continued improvement (which may or may not include further coaching).
